Artist Name Change
I have decided to change the name of my artist from Lua to Luna, I think by having this change I can incorporate more of a nature theme to my digipak and website. By doing this I also want to experiment by using a moon to create a overall house style.

Font Styles
All three have different font styles but The Paper Kites album looks the most simplistic font style used and is from the indie folk genre. The font is quite simplistic matching the simplistic feel of the album.
However Nicki Minajs Pink Friday album uses a mixture of font styles to create a chaotic feel to the look of the album. The text 'Roman Reloaded' looks as though it has been painted but has a 3D effect to it so that the text looks like it is physically sticking out of the album. Katy Perrys' album also has different font styles with 'Teenage Dream' displayed quite cartoon like with the text oozing down the album art work.

Conventions Of Digipak
Conventionally on a album digipak, the central image is usually of the albums artist so that the target audience are able to identify which artists album it is. By having a prominent defined album titles, it grabs the audiences attention but not enough to draw away from the main image.
Typically, I have found that the front cover of the digipak consists of
- the artists name and the album name
- A large image usually taking up the full side of the front cover
- Image of the artist on the disc and behind the CD
- Pull away booklet full of the producing of the songs or song lyrics. Some digipaks also include extra images or 'postcards' of the artist usually linking with the front cover
- CD including the album name and artists name usually on the disc
The back of the digipak cover typically features:
- The track list consisting of the songs featured on the CD
- The record label of the artist (usually name and logo)
- Barcode and other links relating to the artist such as a website or Facebook/twitter page

First Draft Website
For the first draft of my website I have decided to keep it quite simplistic and took inspiration from the artist Daughter. By having a simplistic look it gives the website a understated look but also is easier to navigate around the website for the artists details.

Artist Name
For creating my ancillary texts, I will have to think of an indie folk name for my artist which I can use to promote the artist. I looked on several 'band name generators' to find a name that I liked which did not belong to an existing band.

I like the concept of using the name Lua for my artist as it is quite an unusual name which is often the case with indie artists. To fully find out what the name meant I used online baby name sites to find the origin and meaning of the name.
Also by using the name Lua the meaning (moon) it relates to the ideas that indie folk music centers around nature and natural things which would fit with my artist using that name.

Ancillary Text
For my digipak, I have googled the meaning of 'tomorrow' to allow me to come up with names and ideas that are associated with this song title. From searching for the meaning of the word tomorrow I have found that it usually refers to the future and potentially the past. This means that by being associated with time I could use clocks or pendulums to convey the message of tomorrow.
I then looked online for different meanings of tomorrow, so that I could potentially use a not so obvious image to convey time and 'tomorrow'. From going on thesaurus.com I have found the words 'destiny' 'afterward' and 'eternity' which I like the sounds of using. By using these types of words whilst Im considering the image to put on my digipak, I can use a not so direct reference to tomorrow and time.
Google searched eternity.
